Thanks to theXpats platform we have been fortunate enough to meet many fellow expats who have been through a range of experiences and shared them with us. Through these conversations hubby and I realised that there are a lot of misconceptions that soon-to-be expats hold when moving to Dubai.
A lot of people look at our Instagram posts or blogs/vlogs and think life in Dubai is smooth sailing and that we live a life full of luxury – however it has taken us two years of planning and one year of living in Dubai to get to where we are and we still have a long way to go!
For this reason I decided to start a little series of blogs that will go into detail about what to expect in your first few months in Dubai – covering what things may come as a shock, what to look out for when accepting a job in Dubai and just general information that people have asked us over the last year.
Moving to another country (especially alone) can be daunting and one bad experience as an expat can really traumatise you – however with the right support and guidance, being an expat in Dubai can be one of the best moves you make. You just need the right information to equip you in dealing with what may come your way as you adjust to the desert life.
Stay tuned guys and we’ll be flooding you with information best to our knowledge. Feel free to email us or comment with any questions you have about expat life in Dubai.
