Who would want to live the expat life?

So who would want to live an expat life? Well in short I’d say anyone who isn’t scared of change and isn’t scared to live outside of their comfort zone!

There are a number of reasons why people choose the expat life and I have utmost respect for them all! Having to leave everything behind and literally start a new life has to be one of the most daunting things ever but once it’s done you feel like you should have done it much sooner!

Too many people are scared of change. The idea of having to get used to a new way of life frightens the majority and in our eyes that is really sad! It’s our own fears that stop us from really living life and exploring the world that’s out there. Sorry to say this but there is a whole world out there beyond the life we get comfortable with!

I know this for a fact as a lot of people assumed Dubai was comparable to a war torn country?! We heard a lot of ignorant comments when we told people we were moving – these comments weren’t out of hate but out of love. People were genuinely concerned about us leaving and having to live a new life without the comforts of the UK. Little did they know how amazing it would look when we sent them photos and videos of our life here!

If we could do anything, we would encourage people to go and explore the world – but don’t be one of those holidaymakers that only stick to the hotel or resort – go out and explore the local culture, speak to locals and fully immerse yourself into a new world. You will come out a different person I’m telling you!

We’re thankful for this expat life and we’ve even started discussing other countries we could possibly explore – but I’ll save that for another blogpost!

Traveling it leaves you speechless and then turn you into a storyteller. What a fantastic quote – that really hits home- where ever that is for us expats!
